Hey there!
My name is Mariana Jimenez. I’m a skilled reality capture professional with a technology and project management background spanning the Architecture, Engineering, Construction and Operations (AECO) industry. I graduated as an Architect in Cordoba, Argentina in 2011 and, since then, my professional journey has been dedicated to assisting architects, engineers, owners, and general contractors worldwide by leveraging Building Information Modeling (BIM) and cutting-edge technology to enhance their design and construction projects.
In the course of my career, I've worked on iconic projects and lived in diverse places such as Los Angeles, Monaco, Santiago de Chile, and Mexico City, which has shaped my professional outlook. I genuinely enjoy traveling, and I'm thankful for having the opportunity to do what I love while exploring the world.
Since 2017, I’ve led the Laser Scanning and Scan Modeling division within ENG, which has been such a wild journey. While working with the most talented individuals, I have been exposed to a diverse array of projects and challenges fostering substantial personal and professional growth.

Why AEC Tech Stuff?
Writing has been a passion of mine since my teenage years, and I firmly believe that the way we articulate our thoughts holds the power to either build bridges or create barriers.
In this ever-changing AEC world, where technology is both a guide and a challenge at the same time, I believe in the transformative power of collaborating and sharing.
In an era marked by a scarcity of authenticity, I created this space where I depict my genuine learnings and experiences throughout my AEC/BIM/Reality Capture journey, hoping that the lessons I learned can be useful for someone else. Hope you like it!
